Since 1990, Crystal Knitwear has been working closely with clients to create bespoke knitwear from customer’s initial design concepts through to bulk production. We have our own in-house design software combined with the latest knitting and washing plant.
Crystal Knitwear was founded in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire – a town with a long heritage in knitwear and textiles. All steps of the process, from initial design to packing are completed here in Mansfield, creating a 100% genuine British product.
Our company ethos is to work with natural fibres such as British Wool, Merino Wool and Lambswool Yarns, enhancing the durability and sustainability of our knitwear. Our British Wool and Merino Yarns are sourced in the United Kingdom and the varied palette of colours can be viewed here.

As an independent family run business we are dedicated to providing our customers with a more personal service. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint by offering smaller production runs with ethical sources of local yarn.
We are an official licensee of British Wool, this ensures that our British Wool yarn is traceable and in turn supports our British Wool Sheep Farmers. You can read more about the fantastic work British Wool do here.

Richmond by Crystal Knitwear
We have our own in-house label ‘Richmond Knitwear’, a collection of our own designs which customers are welcome to utilise. Customers own branding can be incorporated with prior arrangement. More details on the range can be found here. Within the Richmond range, we have created our own stock service collection and a forward order collection.
